So looks like it’s the age for former teenybopper superstars to grow up and show some skin. And in this case, I say notttt baaaad…really not bad.
I’ll let you see for yourself.. o.O
Crazy thing is I remember the days when he was on Dream Street (don’t tell me you NEVER watched a Dream Street video on Nickelodeon!), and he was like the cute innocent blond one or whatever. Times have certainly changed. Oh! And Jesse McCartney owes me a letter! I wrote him a letter asking him for an autographed picture when I was in the sixth grade (don’t worryyy, it was for a friend – not for personal benefits), and he never answered! Jerkk.
But hot blond jerk nonetheless.
(Video courtesy of Yiptube who has a huge no-homo crush on Jesse McCartney… or at least I think it’s no-homo).

Um. Yeah. Nuff said.

HOLy pretzel! So you know how John Mayer has pretty much been AWOL these days? (Besides dating Jessica Simpson; that did not count). Well, he is one wily dude for coming out with a KICK-ARSE SONG! I first heard it on Dancing With the Stars (oh hush, my parents watch it) but I didn’t know it was him! Anyhoo, check it out:
In other celebrity news, Miley Cyrus, Pop Princess Extraordinaire (and sister of Trace Cyrus from Metro Station, WOOT!) is announced on Z100 to have been taking nekkid pics (again? I don’t know). But whatever, it turns out that it’s for an Annie Leibovitz Vanity Fair photoshoot. DARN YOU, Z100, FOR IMPLYING OTHERWISE! Everyone’s watching her like a hawk because they want her to be the next Britney Spears. Muaha.
^ Um. Yeah. That’s the last time I’m ever going to post celebrity gossip. >_> The things I do to fill up a post.

So remember how I said I’m obsessed with Jason Mraz? Well, it turns out that he was/is romantically linked to this other singer, Tristan Prettyman! Anywayy, she’s really good in that mellow so-cal way (like Jason Mraz), and I think Mat linked me to her a long time ago but I totally forgot. O_O Here’s a video of her song “Madly”:
And because Julie got me into it…here’s a random video:

It hasn’t even been a month yet, and I’m already slacking in posts! What the frackers?? Seriously, I don’t know how Joel does it. He must either have an endless supply of creative juices, or he spends way too much time on Youtube. (Probably the latter).
So today was the last official Seekers’ leaders meeting of this school year. Ma-an. Time flies by SO fast. I can’t believe there are only 5 more meetings left before Seekers wraps up for the summer. The end of my reign as president. SurREAL. Pretty crazy considering it still feels like yesterday when all of us 2007-2008 leaders stood in front of the club, and I clarified that I was the gap in the crowd.
And a certain former worship leader was still with us… *coughcough*
Aha, good timess.
I don’t even want to think about leaving Tech yet at this point or I might start bawling. Not because I want to spend another year at Tech (God forbid!), but it’s been my home away from home for the last four years, y’know? I mean, I’ve grown attached to Tech. I think it’s the only school where I actually stayed for more than a year, haha. Being at Baruch the other day…it felt all new and strange and weird. Not really bad weird…just different.
Ack! Okay, this post is totally turning emo. I’ll leave you guys with a bit of Jason Mraz, because I am so diggin’ him right now:
I think if I was a dude, I would want to be like him. Dress-wise and stuff. HAHA, my replacement for Joel! (JKK!…not really, lol.)

I WANT THE AMAZON KINDLE AHHH! I REALLY REALLY WANT IT! The bookworm in me is just screaming and wailing at me to buy it. Except I can’t even do that! Ughh! It’s “temporarily out of stock” or whatnot. Blah, that only makes me want it even moreee. Hmm…perhaps it’s an evil strategy by Amazon to get people to covet it until they go crazy!
!!!
No, but seriously. Imagine how handy it would be to have a Kindle (the name is weirddd). No more lugging around huge Harry Potter-sized hardcover books (or just really thick Philippa Gregory books). No more disappointing visits to Barnes & Noble only to discover that the book you want isn’t there. No more misplacing bookmarks.
POOOOO! I’m totally snagging the version 2 when it comes out. Yet another reason why a job would be beneficial to me at the moment.

Alright, I’m gonna keep this short, because this is totally OLD NEWS (I was going to put it up Sunday morning before church).
So Mandy and I went to watch 21 and Run, Fat Boy, Run on Saturday. 21 has generally created a lot of buzz (I got sparkling reviews from Shimizzle and a lukewarm response from Vicky T.), but we picked the Brit-flick Run, Fat Boy, Run after watching the trailer. Must say, both choices turned out great. I haven’t watched a really good movie in a while, so it was a nice change.
21 trailer (in case some of you live under a rock):
Run, Fat Boy, Run trailer:
^That’s an awesome version of the trailer, I must say. And do you know that the movie was directed by David Schwimmer? As in Ross of Friends!?!?!?!?! Yup, your friendly neighborhood paleontologist/divorcĂ©.
RANDOM OBSERVATION: For those of you who watched 21, did anyone notice that Jim Sturgess looks like he has manboobs (MOOBS!) in one of the scenes?? Specifically, the one where he’s in the green shirt at the airport and he has his messenger bag strapped across his chest. I mean, he’s still cute and all but AHHH! MOOOOBAGE!

We’ve been talking about Michael Jackson in music class recently, and it never really occurred to me how musically influential the dude is. I used to tease my cousin all the time because Michael Jackson’s like his favorite singer of all time, but now I’m starting to get why people (my cousin and former AP psych teacher among them) admire the 8th world wonder that is Michael Jackson (three words: black to white). Granted, I don’t agree with him sleeping with little boys (no matter what he says, it’s STILL creepy), but the man clearly has skills.
So as a little tribute to the King of Pop (and because I was Youtube-ing him just for fun), here is a clip from Rush Hour 2 where Chris Tucker sings Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” at a karaoke bar:
“C’MON, LEE! C’MON!” Lmao. Gets me every timee. And that dude singing in the beginning is such a disgrace to Asians everywhere.

On my search to find the perfect first-post greeting for my newest blog endeavor, I stumbled across a rather funny bit of information…
Lo and behold! The gradual extinction of the socially-acceptable “hello”:
In 1997, Leonso Canales Jr. from Kingsville, Texas convinced Kleberg County commissioners to designate “heaven-o” as the county’s official greeting, on the grounds that the greeting “hello” contains the word “hell”, and that the proposed alternative sounds more “positive”.
Haha, Wikipedia, you never fail to amuse me. Next thing you know there’s going to be complaints about “Hi” because it implies the effects of drug-use or whatever nonsense the human mind can come up with these days.
Oh look, I’m already ranting. I think I’m off to a good start.
